Security researchers at NebuSec have disclosed a Linux kernel vulnerability that allows an unprivileged local attacker to escalate privileges and potentially obtain root-level control.

The 5.15.145 stable kernel has been released. It consists mostly of fixes to the ksmbd subsystem, which has been marked as broken due to (until now) a lack of support for the 5.15.x kernels.

Two flaws have available mitigations, too, but it's best to patch up.
